João V. Ferreira is an Associate Professor in Economics at the School of Economic, Social and Political Science of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, Department of Economics.
His main research interests are in behavioural & experimental economics, public economics, political economy, social choice theory, business ethics, and economic philosophy.

In general, I combine theoretical and experimental tools on three main research agendas:
​I am also interested in the intersection of these topics and other subjects such as welfare measurement and behavioural change interventions like nudges and boosts.
I completed my Ph.D in Economics at Aix-Marseille University (AMSE). I was then a Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Rennes 1 (CREM) and the University of Lyon 2 (GATE).
I joined the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ in 2019.
