Martin Toward is a Senior Consultant Engineer in ISVR Consulting, the consultancy arm of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ. He has expertise in the measurement, prediction and mitigation of railway noise and vibration. Previously he was employed in the Human Factors Research Unit of the ISVR as a Senior Researcher. He has worked on UK and European research projects as well as a wide range of long- and short-term consultancy projects. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. He represents the UK interests on the European Railway Acoustics Committee (CEN WG03/TC 256).
