Project overview
In recent years there has been an increasing emphasis on academic research translating to real-world impact. As part of this increased focus on the 鈥渋mpact agenda鈥 there has been a growth across the Higher Education Sector in building dedicated teams to support knowledge exchange and mobilisation within institutions. Across the sector, there is a large degree of diversity.
This study forms part of the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN) Programmes work seeking to develop the 鈥淧olicy Engagement Readiness Index鈥 to assess institutional capability and capacity to engage in the policymaking process and influence policy decisions. Phase I of this work is looking to design, refine and produce this framework through a series of in-person co-design workshops to identify how to assess 鈥渞eadiness鈥 to engage and build a tool that provides the most useful information to potential users. This will then be trialled in Phase II on universities representative of different KEF Clusters.
