Biography
Ziman Zeng is a first-year doctoral researcher in Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, supported by the Presidential Scholarship. Her PhD project broadly examines how different ways of speaking Mandarin are socially evaluated in online and media-related contexts, with a focus on language attitudes, accent evaluation and the social meanings attached to language varieties.
