Nawras is a Postgraduate Researcher based in ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Business School at the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ. Her research focuses on how the wider contextual factors affect the emergence and development of Social Entrepreneurship (SE) in extreme contexts, and examines the nature and real potential of SE to contribute towards change and sustainable development.
Nawras’s current research examines how the wider contextual factors affect the emergence and development of Social Entrepreneurship (SE) in extreme contexts. It focuses on understanding the nature and real potential of SE to contribute towards sustainable development and reconstruction. Qualitative research methods will be employed to generate knowledge and understanding from real life experiences of social entrepreneurs and their ecosystem stakeholders.
Having worked for over 6 years in the Social Entrepreneurship (SE) sector in a turbulent political region, taking on leading roles in the development and resource mobilization area, and witnessing various efforts to support this vital sector including success and hindrance, Nawras decided to pursue a PhD in the SE field to examine its nature and potential towards change and sustainable development. Nawras has MSc in Management (International Business).
