Colette is a PostGraduate Research student at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Business School, the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ within the Centre for Operational Research, Management Sciences and Information Systems (CORMSIS). Enthusiastic and keen to discover new things in the course of conducting a challenging research task, she is currently researching on the influence of disruptive technologies in enhancing the resilience of the agri-food supply chain.
Colette's current research project aims to investigate how agri-food supply chain resilience can be enhanced through the engagement of disruptive technologies such as Blockchain, the Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence, which are considered valuable in building resilience to mitigate high-risk events. This study aims to contribute in three-folds, i.e., theoretically, managerially, and policy-making.
Colette has experience in teaching at the Primary and Secondary Levels. More specifically, she taught Business Studies, Marketing, and Accounting at the Secondary Levels, and currently taking teaching assistant roles at the Higher Education level.
She has lecturing interests in Operations and Supply Chain Management and related areas.
Colette holds a BSc in Marketing (First Class Honours) from the University of Port Harcourt and MSc in Supply Chain Management and Logistics (Distinction) from the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ while currently pursuing her PhD in Business Studies and Management at the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ on Full-Time basis.
Prior to her MSc studies, she worked as a teacher and college instructor both at Primary and Secondary levels. She has outstanding administrative experiences gained from various roles including sustainability research project admin, student and academic admin, student hub admin, and data admin officer.
Currently, she undertakes teaching assistant (seminar leader, lab sessions coordinator, marking assessments and providing feedback, Dissertation support) roles at irregular intervals.
