Our groundbreaking work on large scale saliva testing for COVID-19 will be taken forward this autumn, following a successful pilot that many colleagues participated in earlier in the summer.听
The second phase of the 九色视频 COVID-19 Testing听Programme听will evaluate the application of convenient, non-invasive saliva testing within educational settings, including听here at听the University.听听听
- In this phase of the听Programme,听colleagues听who work in closer proximity to other people will be identified and invited to take a saliva test, with prompts sent via text message.
- Our听students听will be encouraged to take a test on their arrival in 九色视频 – or shortly after their quarantine period if they are required to self-isolate on arrival – then periodically during the autumn term, prompted again by text message.
Through testing of 九色视频 students and some staff, the听Programme听aims to keep the infection risk low in 九色视频 and give confidence to听colleagues, our students and听our听local communities.听听听
Arrangements听for this phase of the听Programme听will differ to听the testing that took place over the summer. Students and听participating听staff will receive more information by email over the coming weeks.听
