Dear colleagues,
As you know, Winnie Eley, our Vice-President (International), has been on a period of special leave for personal reasons since last September.

I am writing to inform you that she has recently informed me of her decision not to return to her role at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, and she will formally step down from her post at the end of this month.
Winnie has worked with the senior team and across the University to consolidate ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s international portfolio, from refreshing the international strategy to leading initiatives such as the 2019/20 international entry project, the Pricing & Scholarship Strategy, and the World Rankings Strategy. I know she has greatly appreciated the advice and feedback from many colleagues following workshops, town halls and meetings over the last year.

I would like to thank Winnie for her valuable contribution to the University and wish her every success in the future.
Best wishes,
Professor Mark E. Smith
Vice-Chancellor
