Science and Engineering Day is back this Saturday 16 March offering a unique public window into the wide-ranging work of our world-class research-intensive University, with over 130 fascinating exhibitions, interactive displays, talks and shows.

There are 12 different Zones to visit, many opportunities to meet research teams who are having a global impact, and visitors will be able to see the labs and facilities where the research is actually taking place. It鈥檚 free to attend and will be open from 10:30 to 16:30.
New activities open for 2019 include the chance to explore the life-changing work of the Auditory Implant Service and an opportunity to meet our Formula Student Team in the AutoLab.
We are featuring two exciting competitions this year – one to highlight the 100th anniversary of the University鈥檚 presence at Highfield with a spot the difference game, and another open to people travelling to the festival in a sustainable way, such as walking or cycling.

Some of the 130+ free activities are ticketed to manage the event effectively. A proportion of these are released in advance, with the remainder available first-come first served on the day and they can be collected from the venue of the activity/talk itself.
