John Hansard Gallery, with support from the University, will hold a programme of activity in ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Guildhall Square (at the heart of the Cultural Quarter) called Ìý´Ú°ù´Ç³¾Ìý4Ìý´¡³Ü²µ³Ü²õ³ÙÌý–Ìý3Ìý³§±ð±è³Ù±ð³¾²ú±ð°ùÌý2017.

Featuring new artworks commissioned by John Hansard Gallery, Summer in the Square will create a public space to meet, experience and take part in great art, music, free gigs, performances and activities for all the family.

The event will launch on Friday 4 August from 18:00 – 21:00 in Guildhall Square, with live DJs, performances and a chance to experience the new John Hansard Gallery artist commissions.

For Summer in the Square, John Hansard Gallery presents:

• – a bright yellow soft space to inhabit, explore and wear artworks that physically join you to others around you.
•  has created P-A-R-A-D-E for ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ – a series of vibrant lamppost banners that run the length of Above Bar Street.
•  has created Guildhall Pavilion – a social and open performance space with a stage for gigs, film, theatre and poetry.
