Professor Michael Bourn, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ from 1986-1990, has sadly passed away. Mr Bourn was a Graduate of LSE, and went on to become a Professor at the University of Canterbury (NZ), Professor, Chair of Liverpool University Press at University of Liverpool and Professor, Dean of Social Sciences, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ.
In 1999 he became Professor Emeritus of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, a title bestowed upon a retired person who has rendered distinguished service to the university.
