Clinical Research Fellow
Stefania is a Senior Neurology Clinical Research Fellow. She graduated from the medical school in Athens University. Following this, Stefania completed the MSc in Clinical Neurology at University College London, during which she developed laboratory research skills. In 2019 Stefania completed neurology training in Athens. She was then awarded a clinical training fellowship by ECTRIMS. During this fellowship at the University of Bristol, Stefania was involved in the ACTiMuS clinical trial which explores the role of autologous mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in progressive multiple sclerosis. Stefania also carried out laboratory research studying microglial polarization in response to signals received from mesenchymal stem cells from people with multiple sclerosis, compared to those from healthy controls. In ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, Stefania provides support to several multiple sclerosis clinical studies whilst pursuing her research interest in this area.
