Dr Harry Annison is Associate Professor in Criminal Law and Criminology at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Law School, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ University. This response is based on the research project ‘Exploring the Secondary Pains of Indeterminate Imprisonment: The case of IPP families’. This project was co-led with Dr Rachel Condry (Centre for Criminology, Oxford University). Policy briefings and a number of scholarly papers will be published from late summer 2018.
