Public Engagement with Research

Training and Development

PERu delivers a range ofÌýtraining and development sessions to prepare and support all Staff and Post Graduate Researchers (PGR students) to engage more confidently and effectively with a variety of publics. ÌýThe majority of sessions are designed and delivered by members of the PERu team; some sessions draw on the expertise of colleagues elsewhere in the University, or from our external expert partners.

Alongside more formal training, we are keen to ensure that researchers have easy access to activities where they can use newly acquired skills and develop further. ÌýOur training sessions highlight these opportunities, which sit within our Spectrum of Engagement .

Autumn and Spring training sessions are now completed for the 2025/26 Academic Year.
Summer sessions will open soon.
