Before you start

Please read the course descriptions and the information about target audience carefully to decide which course is right for you. Many of our courses are heavily subscribed and places are allocated according to applicants' level of teaching responsibility and the potential benefit for ��ɫ��Ƶ undergraduate medical students.

How do I register to attend a course?

General courses: Select ‘Apply Now’ and submit an application form. Please note that this does not guarantee a place on the course and will be subject to shortlisting.
Primary Care courses: Select ‘Apply Now’, you will be redirected to the online store. Click on ‘Book Course’ and follow the instructions.

When will I hear if I have a place on a course?

General courses: approximately 3 months before the course date
Four-day courses: approximately 4 months before the course date��
Primary Care courses: usually within one week��

What can I expect when I attend one of your courses?

Courses range from half a day to four days. The courses comprise presentations from speakers, small group activities and opportunities for shared learning. Active participation is required for all courses.

Who should I contact about access or dietary requirements?

If you have any access or dietary requirements, please let us know when you are offered a place on a course.

How do I amend my online application?

Once an application has been submitted, it can no longer be amended. If you wish to make any changes at this stage, please contact us.

If a course runs over several days, do I have to attend every session?

Yes.��You must attend every session to complete the course.

What happens if I am not allocated a place?

If you are not allocated a place, we will explain the reason for our decision and, where possible, signpost you to suitable alternative courses or development opportunities.

Are courses CPD certified?

General courses: carry CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians (the number of points will be indicated on the certificate of attendance).
Primary Care courses: the Royal College of General Practitioners will recognise attendance and reflection as a CPD activity.

Will I receive a certificate for attending a course?

Yes. All participants who complete the full course receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

What if I am no longer able to attend?

If you are no longer able to attend a course, please let us know as soon as possible.��For more information, please refer to the Terms and Conditions*

What happens if a course is cancelled?��

We will contact you as soon as possible using the details provided in your application. For more information on our cancellation policy, please refer to the Terms and Conditions*

I would like to attend another course. How often do you add new dates?

We recommend that you check these pages regularly for any updates. Primary Care releases new course dates annually in September.

Transfer onto an alternative course subject to availability.
