The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s Faculty of Humanities is delighted to announce the availability of Doctoral funding through the South West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership http://www.sww-ahdtp.ac.uk/.

The Consortium expects to grant around 56 studentships in 2016-17 across the following Arts and Humanities subjects:

Archaeology

Creative Writing

Drama, Film and TV

English

History, including Jewish History and Culture

Modern Languages

Music

Philosophy

Eligible applicants should register by Monday 9 November 2015 for the Information Day on 23th November 2015 in Cardiff at .

Competition opens on 30th November 2015 and the closing date for applications is 11th January 2016.

In addition to AHRC funding the following doctoral scholarships are available for Faculty of Humanities post-graduate applicants:

  • ESRC DTC doctoral scholarship in Linguistics and Social History (fees and maintenance)
  • ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Archival Scholarship (fees and maintenance)
  • ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships (£7,000 per annum for three years)
  • ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Marine and Maritime Institute Leverhulme Scholarships (fees and maintenance)

To be considered for the above funding (non AHRC) you need to complete a ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ application /postgraduate/pgstudy/howdoiapplypg.html and a Humanities Funding Form by the deadline of 12th February 2016.
