Visiting Professor
Professor Matthew Johnson is a Visiting Professor of Archaeology at the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ.
I joined Archaeology at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ in 2004 from Durham, where I was Lecturer and then Professor. I was Head of Archaeology between 2005 and 2008, and was Deputy Head of School and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Humanities between 2009 and 2011. In 2011, I moved from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ to Northwestern University in the USA. I am now affiliated to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ in a Visiting Professor role, and continuing research and field projects in southern England in collaboration with ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ staff and research students.
